Khwaab
Ran the research arm of a forty-person student non-profit, and the logistics when they needed doing.
R&D Team Lead
Khwaab is a student led non profit at KIIT that runs research backed social impact projects. I led its R&D team of forty plus people, none of them paid, all of them with exams. The work was picking which problems were worth a semester, keeping the research honest enough that the projects were about something real, and then actually putting the events on: 100+ attendees at the ones we ran, volunteer sign ups up about 20%, and the operations for Kritarth, the annual gala, which takes 1,000+ registrations.
What that meant day to day
- Led an R&D team of 40+ on research-backed social impact projects.
- On-campus events drawing 100+ attendees; volunteer sign-ups up 20%.
- Coordinated logistics and operations for Kritarth, KIIT's annual gala, 1,000+ registrations.
What I’d point at
forty volunteers is the only management experience I have and it's the hardest version of it: nobody is paid, everybody has exams, and the only lever you hold is whether the work is interesting.
